Worcester Dental isn’t just a dental practice—it’s a family tradition. Founded in 1950 by Melvin Budish, our practice has been dedicated to innovative, high-quality dentistry for generations. Melvin was a pioneer in the field, obtaining one of the first U.S. patents for denture teeth in 1951, a breakthrough used in our practice and across the country. He remained devoted to Worcester Dental until his retirement at age 97, leaving behind a legacy of excellence that continues today.
Still owned and operated by the same family, Worcester Dental today continues to provide high-quality care backed by the latest advancements in dental technology. Meet the Dentists
Dr. Thomas F. Unger
During his time in Vietnam, Dr. Unger has a close friendship with the company dentist. This exposed him to the wonders of the dental profession, inspiring him to become a dentist. He did a two-year general practice residency with the Veterans Administration and has completed hundreds of continuing education courses during this career. Currently, Dr. Unger practices dentistry part time and focuses on implant-retained, implant-supported, and hybrid implant restoration cases.
When not studying or practicing dentistry, Dr. Unger enjoys spending time with his family. He is married, with four grown children and four grandchildren. He also likes gardening and spending time with his friends.

Dr. Kimberly P. Unger
Dr. Kimberly Unger is a second-generation dentist, following in her father, Dr. Thomas Unger’s footsteps. She has a keen interest in anatomy and physiology, biology, chemistry, physics, materials, and medicine. Dr. Unger loves how her career in dentistry requires knowledge of all of her favorite topics. She has a passion for providing high-quality dental care that combines these interests with artistic ability, manual dexterity, and critical thinking.
When she’s not busy at the dental office, Dr. Unger loves hiking and spending time with her family. She also enjoys stand-up comedy.

Dr. Ifran L. Dasti
Dr. Dasti knew he wanted to be a dentist from a very young age. He has been practicing dentistry since 1996. Dr. Dasti taught in a postgraduate program at Harvard Dental School, and his claim to fame is that he can speak dental in six languages. Dr. Dasti has completed numerous continuing education courses over the past 28 years and is always keeping his skills up to date.
When he’s not busy working, Dr. Dasti enjoys playing cards and saving babies from burning buildings. He’s also known for his sense of humor, keeping the atmosphere light around the dental office—he has jokes for any occasion.
